Lonely and lost in the monotony of his life, Tony complains to Mel, the wise bartender at King’s Bar. Mel challenges him to change his cynical attitude, insisting that a shift in perspective is a way to change his circumstances. As Tony grapples with this advice, Bridget enters, full of nervous anticipation. She’s looking for Matthew, her blind date. Will Tony and Bridget find the change they’re looking for, or will they simply find each other?
